Representational Link - Fantasy Hollywood

The tour is still going! We're in Fort Worth, Texas this weekend, and just played at Texas Woman's University yesterday. In lieu of a picture from the archives, here's an interesting project by two photographers based in Dakar.

Excuse the delay

After a nearly 10 day hiatus, I figured that I should at least give an excuse for my lack of posts. I've been busy! A little more than a month ago, I started a multi city tour as Jamie Cartright's accompanist. The dates are
Dec. 5 - Port-au-Prince (Quisqueya Chapel)
Jan. 12 - Chicago (the University of Chicago)
Jan. 13 - Peoria, IL (Bradley University)
Jan. 19 - Queens, NY (Bethel Gospel Tabernacle)
Jan. 23 - Appleton, WI (Lawrence Conservatory)
Jan. 30 - Dallas, TX (Texas Women's University)
Feb. 6 - Chicago (the University of Chicago)

Troubadour Haitien

Did you know that the word twoubado denotes an entire genre of music in Haiti? I'd like to know more about it.

A frame for a fresh line

I see so much in this picture. The guy, his jeans and flip flops, talking on a cell phone, walking towards his motorcycle. Natcom phone minutes. A USAID tarp. What can you see?
